For those who want to record paper documents, please use the black drop box located just outside of our office during regular business hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The drop box will be checked multiple times throughout the day and all documents that are dropped off by 4:30 p.m. will be recorded the same day.

Assumed Business Name certificates

A Certificate of Assumed Business Name (or DBA) form can be recorded at our office by individuals conducting business in North Carolina. These forms are available online. The completed form can be mailed into our office at 205 College Street or can be dropped off for recording in the black drop box directly outside the office.
