Buncombe County is pleased to offer people who work in Downtown Asheville the opportunity to apply for one of a limited number of reduced rate monthly parking passes at each of Buncombe County’s two parking garages. The Buncombe County-owned parking garages are at 164 College Street (across from the Buncombe County Judicial Complex) and 11 Sears Alley (next to Buncombe County Health & Human Services at 40 Coxe Avenue).

Public Parking Decks

You can find convenient public parking at two Buncombe County public parking decks that are open 24/7, 365 days a year.

College Street Parking Deck

  • Open 24/7
  • $1 per first ½ hour and $1 for the second ½ hour, or $2 for first hour; then an additional $1 per hour after that with a daily max of $12.
  • Visiting the Register of Deeds office or attending a Commissioners meeting? Bring your ticket in with you for parking validation
  • EV charging station at ground level

Sears Alley Public Parking Deck

The Buncombe County-owned parking garages are at 164 College Street (across from the Buncombe County Judicial Complex) and 11 Sears Alley (next to Buncombe County Health & Human Services at 40 Coxe Avenue) parking garages. You must meet the eligibility requirements in order to apply. The cost of the reduced rate passes is $40/month.
