Buncombe County strives to ensure our foster youth have normal childhood experiences and we value being able to honor the wishes of a foster youth during the holiday season. During what can be a difficult season, the impact of holiday gifts is significant, and contributes greatly to foster youth feeling cared for and supported.

Supports the work of a community garden located at the Buncombe County Sports Park in West Asheville.

The garden is volunteer-run by neighbors in the Sand Hill community and surrounding neighborhoods with support from Buncombe County Recreation Services.

Supports development of the Woodfin Greenway to create new recreation opportunities in Woodfin.

The greenway will connect Silver-Line Park, Woodfin Riverside Park, and the Woodfin Whitewater Wave with downtown Asheville and the River Arts District.
