The Deputy Registrar/Vital Statistics Office at the Department of Health processes certificates for all births and deaths that occur in Buncombe County.
BCCCP offers Free or Low Cost services to uninsured or low income women age 18 to 64. Please call to see if you qualify.
Care Coordination for Children (CC4C) is an at-risk population management program that serves children from birth to 5 years of age who meet certain risk criteria.
Buncombe County offers a number of services to the public to assist with the Health, Safety and Wellbeing of the public.
The Communicable Disease Program provides investigation, surveillance, reporting and prevention activities necessary to control communicable diseases and to protect the health of the public.
The staff of the Environmental Health Division is charged with enforcing North Carolina laws and rules to safeguard health and protect the environment in Buncombe County.
Immunizations are offered to children and adults of Buncombe County at low or no cost.
Our Nutrition programs are designed to improve the health and well-being of Buncombe County residents. We offer several programs to benefit adults, children, and infants.
Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) established in Buncombe County in October 2009 has served over 100 families.
Triple P – the Positive Parenting Program – is recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the World Health Organization. Triple P is one of the world's most extensively studied and most effective parenting programs, offering increasing levels of support to meet parents' different needs.

TB Skin testing is offered Monday, Tuesday and Friday by appointment or during our walk-in hours Monday and Friday 8-11:30 AM and Tuesday 1-4 PM.
