Flu Resources

Don't Risk It! Get a flu shot!

This year, it is more important than ever that everyone in our community gets immunized against the flu. Individuals with respiratory conditions, like the flu, are at an increased risk of contracting COVID-19 and experiencing severe health consequences. The flu immunization is the best way to protect you and your loved ones from flu related illness. By reducing the likelihood that you will get the flu, you also reduce your risk of severe and even deadly COVID-19 related symptoms. Get immunized against the flu today.

It is recommended that all residents 6 months and older get immunized against the flu each year. Make sure to get your flu immunization this year!

Flu immunizations are available at Buncombe County Health and Human Services in our Immunization Clinic located at 40 Coxe Avenue. Free parking is available to HHS clients in the parking garage connected to the Health and Human Services tower.

The cost of a flu immunization ranges between $40 and $65, depending on the type of flu immunization received. Those with no insurance may qualify for free vaccine based on eligibility.

We accept Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance and self-pay (cash, check, debit or credit card).
