COVID-19 Update

Stay up to date

BCCCP & Wise Woman

During this COVID-19 pandemic, our BCCCP clinic was closed from March – July 2020, leaving us with several months of patients to call back for routine, annual appointments. While our clinic is reopening for limited capacity starting in July 2020, we are not accepting new patients for screening mammograms at this time. However, if you develop breast symptoms and do not have health insurance, please call BCCCP at (828) 250-6006.

Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Program (BCCCP)

BCCCP offers free:

  • Chest & Cervical Exams
  • Pap Smears & HPV Testing
  • Mammograms

We make it easy for patients to get the quality care they need at no cost. BCCCP will provide referrals and follow-up appointments with qualified professionals if needed.

BCCCP Serves Women and Transgender People:

  • between the ages of 40-64,
  • who have no insurance,
  • and meet income and other eligibility requirements.
  • Other women and transgender people ages 21 to 39 may be eligible.

Patients must be seen by BCCCP before a cancer diagnosis has been made in order to be eligible for BCCCP Medicaid.

Those who qualify for BCCCP and are between the ages of 40 to 64 will also qualify for the Wise Woman program.

Wise Woman is a program aimed at controlling or eliminating cardiovascular and other chronic diseases by offering free blood pressure, diabetes and cholesterol screenings as well as health counseling and education.
