About this data

The Finance department presents a financial overview to the board every quarter. This dashboard serves to visualize the quarterly financial data for the public.

Fund Explorer: Utilize the dropdown at the top of the page to filter to other funds and review the financial performance for the quarter.

Capital Projects: This page shows the capital projects in Fund 341 and their budget to actuals quarter to date.

Investments: An overview of the County’s investment vehicles and their performance can be found on this page.

Definitions

  • Fund: A grouping of related accounts used to maintain control over resources that have been segregated for specific activities or objectives.
  • Project: Project is the specific plan for the allocated funds. For example, Courthouse repairs.
  • Maturity: The final date upon which the principal of a security becomes due and payable.
  • Modified Duration: The percent change in price for a 100 basis point change in yields. Modified duration is the best single measure of a portfolio’s or security’s exposure to market risk.
  • Assets Under Management: The amount of cash invested in the investment vehicle.
  • Total Rate of Return: A measure of a portfolio’s performance over time. It is the internal rate of return, which equates the beginning value of the portfolio with the ending value; it includes interest earnings, realized and unrealized gains, and losses in the
