Buncombe County has adopted the ambitious goals of reaching 100% renewable energy for both its internal operations and for the community at large.
As the first major step in reaching these goals the County partnered with other local public agencies to install solar on buildings all over the County. For its part, Buncombe County
has installed over 1 Megawatt of on-site solar on a number of its own facilities and plans to continue installing solar on more locations in the future.
