Buncombe County Pools Will Open Memorial Day Weekend
Buncombe County Parks & Recreation is ready to make a splash as all five Buncombe County pools prepare for the summer. Cane Creek, Hominy Valley, North Buncombe, Erwin, and Owen Community pools will all open on Saturday, May 24.
While Asheville City and Buncombe County schools are still in session through Tuesday, June 10, pools will be closed on weekdays. However, all pools will be open on Monday, May 26 for Memorial Day. The season will conclude on Sunday, August 10.
General Pool Hours:
- Saturdays, 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
- Sundays, 1-6 p.m.
- Mondays-Fridays, 11:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays, Cane Creek, Erwin, and Hominy Valley pools will have extended hours and will be open 11:30 a.m.-7:00 p.m.

Pool entry is $4 per person. Free entry to the pools is available through Zoom passes.
