
Buncombe County Special Collections at Pack Memorial Library is proud to partner with Black Wall Street AVL to present Elder Talk: Wisdom, Legacy & Community, an intimate and powerful evening where wisdom meets the future. This free event will be Tuesday, May 20 at 5:30 p.m.
As part of GRINDFest 2025, this gathering brings together esteemed elders from our community to share stories, experiences, and invaluable lessons on resilience, entrepreneurship, and cultural legacy.

GrindFest is a month-long celebration of Black business and entrepreneurship, culture, and community empowerment. The theme for this year is “Rebuilding is Everybody’s Business.” The festival, which features events across Asheville throughout May, is a catalyst for rebuilding opportunities, strengthening local businesses, and uniting Asheville in a powerful movement of resilience and growth.
