Ahead of awarding a new contract for waste and recycling collection, Buncombe County asked for public input through a waste and recycling collection survey. The survey was a valuable part of the process to let County staff and the Board of Commissioners know what is important to our community regarding waste and recycling collection. We thank everyone who took the time to offer their feedback.
Selecting a trash and recycling pickup provider for residents in unincorporated Buncombe County is an important decision that involves the entire community. “Providing a platform for citizen feedback was critical as we evaluated the waste and recycling collection needs in the community,” noted County Solid Waste Director Dane Pedersen. “County staff will use the input to assess and restructure some contract parameters.”
