Buncombe County, North Carolina is seeking proposals from qualified consultants for the completion of a Fire Service Study to include a review of personnel, classification, and total compensation. The consultant must demonstrate its ability to review and complete this analysis to provide comparison within the County and with other similar counties utilizing industry benchmark comparison that will result in a comprehensive report to the County.
The intent of this Request for Proposal is to retain a consultant to provide Buncombe County with appropriate information to establish guidelines for basic job requirements, salary ranges and other rules related to fire service compensation for the purpose of funding decisions.
