The 6th annual Scarecrow Festival at Lake Julian Park was held on Saturday, October 2.
The highlight of the Festival was the judging of the handmade Scarecrows. Competition was fierce! Entrants were divided into two divisions, Individuals and Families/Groups.
Winning scarecrows were chosen by popular vote. There were cash prizes of $100 each for 1st Place winner and prizes for 2nd and 3rd Place Scarecrows in each division. The Grand Prize was a cash award of $500 for the Best of Show entry.
This year’s winners were:
- Best In Show: Art Space Charter School ($500 Grand Prize)
- 1st Place Individual: Virginia Hefner ($100 Prize)
- 1st Place Family/Group: Jesse James Wright ($100 Prize)
- 2nd Place Individual: Patricia Henson (Pool Party at the Zeugner Center)
- 2nd Place Family/Group: Art Space Charter School (Pool Party at the Zeugner Center)
- 3rd Place Individual: David Fine (Gift Certificate for Fun Depot)
- 3rd Place Family/Group: Dawson Family (Gift Certificate for Fun Depot)
