Deadline Extended for Soil & Water Scholarships for Students
Buncombe County Soil & Water Conservation District has two scholarships available for local students. Application deadlines were extended to Tuesday, April 15, so apply today!
William Hamilton Memorial Scholarship
The Buncombe Soil & Water Conservation District Student Scholarship is available to Buncombe County residents who are attending or planning to attend an accredited NC college or university in a conservation, agriculture, or other natural resource-related program. Award amount: $1,000 toward tuition
Resource Conservation Workshop Scholarship
Buncombe County high school juniors and seniors can attend a week-long workshop that involves study of and hands-on participation in a wide variety of conservation topics. Students will be housed in NC State University dormitories. Find more information and apply here.
