Input Needed: Take Buncombe's Boards & Commissions Survey

Buncombe County has nearly 50 different boards and commissions where community members can shape how their local government provides programs and services, from the library system, planning and zoning, school capital funding, historic resources, justice resources, and much more! Many community members can participate on these boards, actively working with the County to prioritize its programming; however, many barriers keep other residents from participating.

You may be a resident who wants to get more involved, but you have to focus on your work hours, your family, your budget, your little time off, disabilities, or many other reasons. While there is no one-size-fits-all solution to overcoming these barriers, Buncombe County is conducting a survey to help determine what barriers there are for our community members and what it can do to help our residents overcome those barriers.

Is it a cash stipend? Is it a voucher that explicitly supports your quality of life? Buncombe County wants to know so it can work on policies and procedures to help inspire community members to make their voices part of the rest of the voices that shape the county around them.

If you have just a few minutes, please click on the link below to participate in a short survey to help guide future decisions for Buncombe County in helping to reduce the barriers that our fellow neighbors have to bring their voices to the table and make it One Buncombe.
