Severe Weather Preparedness: Buncombe Residents Encouraged to Plan, Prepare, & Stay Informed

It is important to learn the hazards of severe weather and what you can do to stay safe. The National Weather Service and North Carolina Department of Public Safety have declared the week of March 5 – 11, 2023, as Severe Weather Preparedness Week. Buncombe County is a Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador and we urge residents to properly prepare for severe weather any time of the year. Make a plan, prepare for emergencies, and stay informed to weather any storm that might come your way. Learn more at readync.gov.
