It is important to learn the hazards of severe weather and what you can do to stay safe. The National Weather Service and North Carolina Department of Public Safety have declared the week of March 5 – 11, 2023, as Severe Weather Preparedness Week. Buncombe County is a Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador and we urge residents to properly prepare for severe weather any time of the year. If there’s one thing the pandemic has taught us, information and knowledge can evolve as quickly as the event or disaster. It’s important to stay on top of new developments and information.
