H3 Collective Offers Unique Opportunity to Prospective Foster Parents

H3 Collective Offers Unique Opportunity for Potential Foster Parents

+ Free Housing
+ Wrap Around Care
+ Additional Resources

Today in the counties that make up WNC thousands of children are in foster care and in need of a loving home. Due to a shortage of foster parents, most sibling groups are separated and placed in different homes, often in separate locations throughout the state. The H3 Collective seeks to meet that need by offering safe homes to foster children in which house parents care for sibling groups- providing the children with the safety, stability, and security they need to thrive.

H3 is currently looking for House Parents who feel called to provide care for children in Foster Care in Buncombe County. House Parents serve a vital role in helping to fulfill the mission of H3C and are heavily supported in their roles. H3C homes are designed to serve up to five kids. Wrap-around care is tailored to the needs of each home and to make caring for the needs of vulnerable children more sustainable, H3C homes are rent-free. H3C is looking for couples who are:

  • Licensed by or is willing to be licensed by Buncombe County Foster Program
  • Buncombe County Foster Parent Training Courses start July 7th and October 4th.
  • Married with no dependent children of their own living in the home
  • One parent must be willing to not work outside the home

H3C understands that caring for the needs of kids can be a challenging task. Their model is uniquely designed to help make foster care more sustainable for those willing to step into this role. Their commitment to House Parents includes:

  • Housing - affordable housing that is suitable for caring for several kids is a challenge, so H3C homes are offered to House Parents at no cost.
  • Support – H3C provides wrap-around care that is tailor-fit to the needs of each home. This care can include childcare, home maintenance, meals, etc.
  • Resources - each kid comes with specific needs and H3C is committed to helping provide for those needs.

If you meet the criteria listed above and are interested in serving as House Parents to an H3C Home, please click here and fill out the form on the bottom of the page. After completing the House Parent Interest Form, an H3C representative will be in touch.
