Inclement Weather Closures for Buncombe County Operations
Due to impending winter weather and possible impacts to safe travel, Buncombe County Public Libraries will close at 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 28. With the forecast for precipitation overnight, a negative wind chill and high wind gusts tomorrow, all libraries will remain closed for Saturday, Jan. 29. Additionally, all outdoor operations will be closed to include the Landfill, Transfer Station, and all Buncombe County Parks.
Additionally, the COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic scheduled for tomorrow from 10 am – 2 pm at North Windy Ridge Intermediate School has been canceled. The clinic will be rescheduled to a later date, and this will be communicated through County channels and in coordination with our school system partners. Please check www.buncombeready.org for confirmation of future vaccination clinics as the weather forecast in the coming weeks may necessitate rescheduling clinics.
