Calling All Artists: Card Catalog Art Project Seeks Entries

Do you remember card catalogs? What happened to all those analog cards once they were replaced with computers? The Black Mountain Center for the Arts (BMCA) in collaboration with the Black Mountain Library and Chifferobe has obtained a few hundred old catalog cards, and we want to use them to make art. It's a great way to remember our past as we look forward to this year's 100-year anniversary of the Black Mountain Library.

We invite everyone in our community to participate. Cards and more detailed instructions can be picked up at BMCA, the Black Mountain Library, or at Chifferobe (on Cherry St.) After you make your art, drop it off by Feb. 7 at the library or BMCA to be included in the show.

Everyone is invited to participate and to attend the opening reception on Feb. 11 from 4-6  p.m. The show will be on display in our gallery from Feb. 11-25 and is free and open to the public Monday-Fridays from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
