On October 29th, just in time for the holiday season, the FDA approved the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for distribution to children ages 5-11. Now, all residents 5 and older can get vaccinated in time to spend the holidays with the people they love the most.
Getting vaccinated protects against COVID-19, helps to reduce community spread, and strengthens our communities’ shield of protection, making all Buncombe residents safer. All eligible Buncombe residents, ages 5 and over, are encouraged to get the safe and effective COVID-19 vaccine.
There are many ways to get a COVID-19 vaccination in Buncombe County, but not all vaccine providers carry pediatric doses. Be sure to call ahead to confirm that the clinic you would like to visit has the vaccines required to meet your family’s needs.
COVID-19 Vaccine Providers in Buncombe County
The following providers are currently vaccinating all individuals 5 and older.
Buncombe County Health & Human Services Vaccine Clinic
The clinic located at 40 Coxe Avenue in Downtown Asheville is open Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Walgreens, Ingles, and other local pharmacies
Check with your local pharmacy to inquire about pediatric vaccines.
