Beer City Cup, the nation's largest adult soccer event, returns to Buncombe County over Labor Day weekend. The community is invited to volunteer with Special Olympics Buncombe County during the tournament to support local athletes — including the soccer players who will represent North Carolina at the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games in Orlando.
Volunteers operate a beer vending station on Sunday, September 5. Three shifts area available: 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., 3-7 p.m., and 6:30-10 p.m. In addition to supporting local Special Olympics athletes, volunteers also get to take in the beautiful game of soccer.
