County employees across multiple departments celebrated Earth Day with the Solid Waste team by attending our second litter sweep. Between the two sweeps (on Old Marshall Highway and Hominy Creek roads), 53 bags worth of trash were picked up along with several large pieces of scrap metal, large plastic, tires, mattresses, paint buckets, and furniture pieces.
Please give these amazing volunteers a round of applause. Thank you for helping keep Buncombe beautiful.
