Buncombe County is set to begin exterior remediation projects for the courthouse, detention center, and administrative building. On Monday, March 9, the project is slated to begin with work on the administrative building at 200 College St. During the renovation process, please be aware there will be scaffolding, swing stages, lifts, and other construction material on site.
The remediation work includes cleaning the building, brickwork, and general repairs to the exterior. There should be minimal impacts to sidewalks and overall operations. Vannoy Construction is managing the remediation of all three sites and is working with Buncombe County General Services to ensure appropriate safety precautions are in place. When visiting the County administration building, do not walk around safety barricades, be aware of your surroundings, and pay attention to any signage that might be posted.
The County will provide notice when the project begins at the courthouse and detention center.
