Board of Commissioners’ Pre-Meeting
Beginning this year, the Buncombe County Board of Commissioners began to conduct pre-meetings to get more information from staff on discussions taking place during future regular meetings. No formal votes and no public comment will take place during these meetings, but by recording them it is a better way to inform the public of upcoming County discussions and a more transparent look into their local governing process. Pre-Meetings normally take place on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 3 p.m. at 200 College St., room 326 in downtown Asheville. However, the Pre-Meeting on Dec. 17 took place at 1 p.m.
