WNC Career Expo Rescheduled to New Date & Location

Due to WNC Ag Center’s temporary closing of the Davis Event Center over concerns related to the recent incidents ofLegionnaires' disease, the WNC Career Expo has been moved to a new date and location. Originally scheduled for Oct. 17 at the WNC Ag Center’s Davis Event Center, the WNC Career Expo will now be held Oct. 29 at the U.S. Cellular Centerfrom 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

“We appreciate WNC Ag Center’s efforts to mitigate health concerns. We also appreciate the U.S. Cellular Center stepping in to host the WNC Career Expo on short notice as well as the efforts of our partners to help us share info of the new date and location with the community,” said April Brown, Director of Existing Industry & Workforce Development for the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce.

Hosted by the Asheville Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Mountain Area Workforce Development Board, the biannual event features 120+ employers in the region who have indicated they would be hiring for upwards of 8,000 jobs in the coming year. Employers in the sectors of Advanced Manufacturing, Healthcare, Hospitality & Tourism, Finance, Local and State Government, Skilled Trades, Tech/IT and more will be in attendance. 

This is a free event with no registration required for career seekers.  All rides to the U.S. Cellular Center on ART buses are free for the event, and free parking is available in the Civic Center Garage.

Booths are still available for employers.
