Buncombe County Commissioners are taking applications for two vacancies on the African American Heritage Commission through November 9 at 5pm.
The City-County African American Heritage Commission consists of 9 members - 3 appointed by the Asheville City Council, 3 appointed by the Buncombe County Board of Commissioners, and 3 appointed by the six appointed members.
The Commission advises the City Council and County Commissioners about the preservation, interpretation, and promotion of African American arts, history and culture.
