At a Special Meeting on Aug. 21, 2018, the Buncombe County Board of Commissioners heard from two executive search firms. The interviews were part of the process used to choose the search firm the County will contract with to recruit the next County Manager.
As you may know, the search for our next County Manager is underway (more about what the County Manager does) and input from the public and County employees is an important part of the process. This is your chance to weigh in on the skills, personality traits, and other issues that you believe are important for our next County Manager to exhibit.
There are three community meetings lined up to gather public input on what qualities you are looking for in the next county manager. If you're unable to attend we are gathering input through our Let's Talk platform to present to County administration and the Board of Commissioners so your voices can be heard.
