Book It to the Library: Summer Reading Program Has Begun

The Summer Reading Program is about to get underway. Here’s what you need to know about how your kids can participate.

Summer Reading Rocks

The program runs June 1-August 31. It’s open to Buncombe County Library Card holders who are rising high school seniors or younger.
Get a stamp card and collect a stamp each time you visit the library to check out a book, attend an event, or any other reason you visit the library. After you have four stamps you can claim your reward! Visit any library branch, turn in your card, and get a free book from the Summer Reading crate featuring a variety of reading levels and books in Spanish.
Keep reading and visiting the library.

It’s that simple to turn your regular library visits into prizes. If you have any questions about the Summer Reading Program, please contact your local library branch.

Buncombe County Libraries have more than just books. Our libraries are community hubs where citizens of all ages can find services, resources, amazing programs, and more. Find a library in your community where you can read, learn, and discover. Visit the Buncombe County Public Libraries website to get engaged and learn more.

Join us at Libraries Rock - Summer Library Festival, Saturday June 2 as we kick off the program!
