ASAP, the Appalachian Sustainable Agricultural Project is a great local organization that promotes local food, strong farms, and healthy communities. Coming up in February they're holding their annual Business of Farming Conference. It's a great day of learning and networking for local farmers, or anyone seriously considering farming as a profession.

The conference offers business and marketing workshops, networking opportunities, and resources to help farmers grow and diversify their business. It will feature meetings with wholesale buyers, professional consulting opportunities, business and agricultural exhibits, and a locally sourced lunch.
