Studies have shown that antioxidants may slow or help prevent cancer, heart disease and other diseases. Antioxidants also help prevent damage to cells caused by free radicals – molecules produced when the body breaks down food.

Good sources of antioxidants are berries, kidney beans, spinach, sweet potatoes, cinnamon and oregano.
