Buncombe County Parks and Recreation Services is located
in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina.
The purpose of the Buncombe County Parks, Greenways and Recreation Services Department is to provide health and recreation opportunities for the people of Buncombe County through the creation of high quality programs, facilities and community special events. In addition to the care and management of our parks and swimming pools, Buncombe County Parks, Greenways and Recreations Services is working to preserve the natural beauty and enhance our environmental resources through the development of greenways and the procurement of open spaces.
With the increase of greenways and open spaces we insure quality leisure experiences and alternative travel possibilities for generations to come.
