Would you like to make a difference in the lives of older adults living in long-term care facilities? The Buncombe County Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee and the Buncombe County Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee are recruiting volunteers!
Community Advisory Committee Volunteers advocate for residents living in long-term care facilities by ensuring that Resident Rights are being followed. Volunteers visit long-term care facilities to speak with residents to discuss any needs or concerns that they may have. Volunteers also bring awareness to the needs of residents in nursing homes, adult care homes, and family care homes by educating community members. Volunteers will complete 36 hours of orientation to equip them with all they need to know as a volunteer. For more information, please contact Cori Search at cori@landofsky.org.
