Delays Expected at Buncombe County Transfer Station March 22 – 23
The Buncombe County Garage will be without power for several days starting on Friday, March 22 through March 24, 2024 due to upgrades of the electrical system.
A section of the residential recycling area will be unavailable for use during this maintenance period, resulting in reduced operations at the residential recycling area. All customers of the transfer station should expect the potential for significant delays during this maintenance period, especially on Saturday March 23 and during our peak busy hours.
During this time, we encourage our customers to use the Buncombe County Landfill location at 85 Panther Branch Road, Alexander, NC 28701. We also advise modifying your schedule to visit prior to or after these dates to avoid longer than usual wait times.
