Eat Smart, Move More, Weigh Less!

Cooperative Exnteion LogoThe Buncombe County Office of Cooperative Extension is taking part in the state-wide Eat Smart Move More, Weigh Less program. The program's mission is to reverse the rising tide of obesity and chronic disease among North Carolinians.

By taking part in the program you'll learn:

  • The benefits of healthy habits
  • The importance of exercise
  • Healthy eating
  • How to save money at the grocery store
  • How to prepare quick and easy meals
  • And how to keep foods safe.

There are multiple classes that take place every month. Each participant in Eat Smart Move More will receive useful kitchen tools, and those who attend three to four classes will receive a certificate of completion and an EFNEP (Expanded Food Nutrition Program) Cookbook.

To find out when the next class is taking place, visit the Cooperative Extension Event Calender.
