A request has been received from Madison County for the donation of surplus motor vehicles for use and pursuant to N.C. Gen. Stat. 153A-176 and N.C. Gen. Stat. § 160A-280, the County may transfer to another governmental unit equipment that the governing board determines to be surplus, obsolete or unused. The County has two (2) motor vehicles that County General Services and Purchasing Agent have indicated are suitable for surplus: Dodge Charger; Buncombe County Vehicle # 1949; and Dodge Charger; Buncombe County Vehicle # 11934.
The Buncombe County Board of Commissioners does hereby give public notice of the Commissioner’s intent to transfer said personal property to Madison County and will consider such donation at their meeting on August 2, 2016 beginning at 4:30 p.m. in Room 326 at 200 College Street in downtown Asheville.
