Buncombe Aging Services Alliance

The Buncombe Aging Services Alliance (formally the Aging Coordinating Consortium (ACC)) provides networking, collaboration, advocacy, and education for aging service providers.

BASA is part of Age-Friendly Buncombe County. BASA meets quarterly on a rotating basis with Age-Friendly Buncombe County (AFBC) Community Meetings, Funded Provider Meetings, and Buncombe Aging Services Alliance (BASA) Meetings. The meetings are the third Wednesday of the month from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm via Zoom. For more information, please contact Billie Breeden, Age-Friendly Coordinator using the contact form below.

Background

BASA is a group made up of aging service providers and community volunteers who meet on a monthly basis to:

  1. Discuss aging service provisions in Buncombe County;
  2. Provide opportunities for networking;
  3. Educate and learn about services for older adults;
  4. Update agencies on new services, issues, funding opportunities, and program development;
  5. Advocate for aging services on the local, state, and national levels.
