From the high mountains to the lakes and rivers, birdwatching in Western North Carolina offers some of the finest in the state. During the warmer months of the year our forests are full of warblers, vireos and tanagers. During the winter months our lakes are home to a wide range of ducks and geese.
Join local birding expert Simon Thompson as he takes us on a journey through the birds of WNC and where we can expect to see them. For more information, call the Fairview Library at 828-250-6484 or email fairview.library@buncombecounty.org.
