Effective Wednesday, March 18, 2020, the WNC Regional Air Quality Agency offices at 52 Coxe Ave. and 30 Valley St. will be closed to the public, in accordance with guidance and requirements from government and public health authorities to reduce the spread of COVID-19. The offices are closed, but we are still available to serve you. If we do not answer, please leave a message at (828) 250-6777 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. A staff member will contact you as soon as possible.
The ambient air quality monitoring network is fully operational. Asbestos, Demolition and Removal/Renovation Permits are being issued. Please contact Mike Matthews at (828) 250-6776 or email@example.com to make arrangements to obtain a permit. The application is available as a fillable pdf on our website at buncombecounty.org/common/wncair/asbestos-permit.pdf. Permit applications can be emailed to Mr. Matthews or left in the box in front of the 30 Valley St., Buncombe County Permit office.
