Co-sponsored by the Charles George VA Medical Center, Buncombe County Veterans Council, and the City of Asheville, the 45-minute ceremony will feature introductory and closing remarks by U.S. Air Force Vietnam Veteran Allan Perkal, chairman of the Buncombe County Veterans Council. Read more here.

Buncombe County Landfill, Transfer Station, and Waste Pro collections will operate on regular hours Wednesday, Nov. 11.

Please note: due to repair work on the Transfer Station tipping floor delays should be expected through Nov. 18. We recommend heading out to the Landfill for shorter wait times.
