What To Do With Your Old Trash Can? Let's Talk Disposal Options.

As part of the County’s new waste and recycling collection contract, Waste Pro subscribers will receive new rollout carts for trash and recycling collection. We want to make sure customers are aware of disposal options for old trash cans, if needed.

Waste Pro carts that are currently in service will be replaced following collection. If you would like to get rid of your old personal trash cans, you may drop them off, free of charge, at the Buncombe County Landfill at 81 Panther Branch Road, Alexander, the Transfer Station at 190 Hominy Creek Road, Asheville, or Waste Pro’s Arden location at 138 Tavistock Road, Arden. We will be recycling as many cans as possible.

You may also call Waste Pro at 684-7790 to arrange a bulk pick-up for only $5 (normal bulk pick-up is $25) until March 31, 2020. After that time, you will be charged the normal bulk pick-up rate.
