Community Oriented Problem Solving (COPS) Team Community Meeting

The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office COPS team will hold a community meeting at the Reynolds Fire Department located at 1 Charles A. Lytle Lane in Asheville on August 24 at 6pm. The COPS team will report the findings of their 30 day assignment to the community, and share the action plan they have developed to sustain the progress they have achieved during this assignment.

Each COPS Team works in a particular community for 30 days, identifying key issues, speaking with community leaders and residents in the community, creating an action plan, and then presenting their findings and suggestions to the community at the end of the 30 day period. Sheriff Van Duncan, as well as several members of the Sheriff’s Office command staff, will be in attendance at the meeting.
