Tailgate Markets – Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project (ASAP) (AppalachianGrown.org)

Community Gardens - Bountiful Cities (BountifulCities.org) and ASAP (ASAPConnections.org)

Grocery Stores – UNC Asheville Department of Health and Wellness. Student researchers conducted an in-person survey of each grocery store in Buncombe County. Students used a standardized survey called NEMS (Nutrition Environment Monitoring System) developed by the Centers for Disease Control. All Buncombe County grocery stores carrying fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grain products, and low fat products are listed.

Emergency Food Pantries, Soup Kitchens / Welcome Tables, Emergency Shelters, and Community Distribution Sites - MANNA Food Bank (MannaFoodBank.org).
