What is a "Wicable"? It's an easy and fun recipe using ingredients that are part of the WIC Nutrition Program.
Here are your ingredients!
Serves 3-4:
- 4 avocados
- Juice squeezed from 1/2 orange
- Juice squeezed from 1 lime
- salt & pepper*
- 1/2 diced purple onion
- 1 diced small tomato
- Handful of cilantro, chopped
- 1 serrano pepper, chopped (optional)
*not available with WIC vouchers
PREPARATION
Peel avocados or carefully spoon out the flesh. Cut into large chunks. Squeeze the juices of orange and lime over avocado. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add in onion, tomato, and cilantro. Mix and serve immediately.
