Message from Waste Pro

Waste Pro's Thursday trucks were brought in due to icing concerns leaving 5 routes in Fletcher/Arden/Fairview areas incomplete. Those routes will be completed after noon on Friday, Feb. 21. Any Friday routes not finished will be finished by Saturday afternoon. 

Libraries and Parks

All Buncombe County Libraries and Parks will open at 10 a.m.

Early Voting Locations

All early voting locations will open at 10 a.m.

Landfill and Transfer Station

Regular schedule.

Open at 10 a.m.

Mountain Mobility

Mountain Mobility operating on regular Schedule; Trailblazers delayed start at 8 a.m. (to coordinate with ART start)

Coordinated response

The City of Asheville is working in partnership with Buncombe County for a coordinated response to this snow event.

“One of my main priorities is to forge an alliance of first responders working together,” said new Buncombe Emergency Services Director Taylor Jones. “We are following the weather very closely and are working with multiple agencies across the region to coordinate readiness efforts.”
