Early Voting for the 2020 General Election

Life gets busy, take advantage of Early Voting so you won’t have to worry about making it to the polls on Election Day. Early Voting kicks off on Thursday, Oct. 15, and runs through Saturday, Oct. 31.

Registered voters may use any of the 16 Early Voting locations. The deadline to register to vote for the Nov. 3 General Election is Oct. 9. Same-day registration is also available at any of the Early Voting sites.  During Early Voting, be sure to check out Election Services’ Wait Map, which tells you how many voters are in line at a location in real time.

Buncombe County is committed to having a safe and secure election in the midst of the COVID-19 global pandemic. For more information about precautions regarding COVID-19, click here.

Early Voting dates and times:

  • Oct. 15-30:
    • Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-7:30 p.m.
    • Saturday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
    • Sunday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
  • Oct. 31 (last day):
    • 8 a.m.-3 p.m.
