Thinking about ways that you and your family can help children in Buncombe County? Have you ever considered fostering? We need more foster parents in Buncombe County and we invite you to come out and learn more about this important role.
Foster Parent Training classes begin on September 10, 2018 at 5:45 – 8:45 pm. They are held at 200 College Street in the ground level conference room.
Foster Parent Training is the first step to becoming a licensed foster parent. We offer six week training sessions to help participants decide if becoming foster parents is right for them and their family and also helps them learn about the foster care system, the effects of trauma on developing children and youth and ways to meet the unique needs of children who have experienced trauma.
