Buncombe County Commissioners and County Administration Respond to Former County Manager Wanda Greene and Former County Employee Michael Greene Not Guilty Pleas
Because this is a federal investigation, the Board of Commissioners and County Administration have no further comment at this time on the news of not guilty pleas entered by former County Manager Wanda Greene and former employee Michael Greene on Friday, April 13, 2018.
Our commitment is to do all we can to make sure that if these charges are proven true that there is full accountability.
Attached is a document outlining the organizational changes and policy revisions we have implemented; these changes bolster our existing policies and strengthen the Board’s fiduciary oversight.
The alleged actions of the former County Manger Wanda Greene and Michael Greene are the exception and do not represent the more than 1,400 public servants who continue the work of the County each day with integrity and professionalism.
