ASAP, the Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project is well known for connecting our citizens to local farming resources through publications, tailgate markets, and great events throughout the year. But did you also know they put on story times?
Summertime Snacks and Story times is taking place on Friday, August 25 from 3 - 6pm at the East Asheville Tailgate Market, located at 954 Tunnel Road in Asheville.
This will be a fun back-to-school picnic with all of the ingredients sourced from the market, or prepared by the market’s vendors. They will share recipes full of EBT/SNAP eligible ingredients from the market with food and nutritional information available. Childcare will be provided in the form of the story circle activities while parents and caretakers can shop.
