Every year, libraries across the country take part in the Summer Reading Program to help kids stay interested in reading throughout the school-less, summer months. This year's theme is On Your Mark, Get Set...READ! They're beginning the summer festivities with a kick off party:
At the event you'll be able to meet team members from the Asheville Tourists, the Blue Ridge Roller Girls, complete an obstacle course, make crafts, get your picture taken doing an Olympic event, and much more! The best part? The event is free and for kids of all ages!
