Buncombe County and other local partners are taking measures to prepare for the potential spread of the novel coronavirus, or COVID-19, which includes considering the safety of our park visitors and recreation program participants.
Until further notice:
- All Buncombe County playgrounds, picnic shelters, athletic fields, sports courts, restrooms, and some other spaces are closed to the public. Athletic field permits are canceled.
- All Buncombe County Recreation Services programming and special events are canceled or postponed.
- All picnic shelter rentals are canceled through July 4 and no new reservations will be accepted. Existing rentals can be rescheduled or issued a 100% credit or refund. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.
